On Sunday night an audience average for the T20 World Cup final was 501,000 on 9GEM, topping multichannels and delivering a whopping 16.9% channel share.
That turned out to be bigger than Nine’s own primary channel at 15.6%. Nine originally had the final for the latter but made an amendment pushing it to its multichannel late last week.
Viewing elsewhere was largely quiet for a Sunday although AGT led in entertainment at 519,000 metro viewers from 7pm.
That was ahead of Death in Paradise (389,000 from 7:30pm), My Mum Your Dad (325,000) and a final The Traitors (228,000 but rising to 265,000 for “End Game” portion).
Later 60 Minutes led with just 331,000 then Significant Others (227,000) and Code 1: Minute by Minute (221,000).
Nine network won Sunday with 37.5% then Seven 27.0%, ABC 14.8%, 10 12.9% and SBS 7.8%.
Nine News (693,000) was best for Nine with a late edition at 192,000.
Seven News was #1 at 793,000. UK doco HMP Styal: Women Behind Bars was just 113,000.
ABC News was 555,000. Silent Witness (192,000) and Frankly (119,000) followed.
The Sunday Project managed 255,000 / 182,000 for 10. 10 News First drew 194,000 / 156,000. NCIS: Hawaii (128,000) and FBI (102,000).
On SBS it was SBS World News (149,000 / 103,000), Titanic: Into The Heart Of The Wreck (92,000) and The Assassination of JFK (89,000).

The Traitors: 368,000
