CAPE TOWN – The National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) said nine suspects are expected to make their first appearance before Wynberg Magistrates court on Thursday in connection with the kidnapping of Abirah Dekhta.
However, said the NPA, more details might come to light in court.
The eight-year-old girl was found in Khayelitsha on Monday evening – almost two weeks after she was snatched from a school lift club vehicle in Gatesville while on her way to school.

Calls continue to mount for the government to take urgent action against the scourge of kidnappings in Cape Town – as Dekhta was not the only child who recently fell victim to this crime.
About three months ago, a six-year-old boy was reunited with his family days after he was abducted from outside his home in Kensington.
