Abou-Gabal & Tarek Hamed To Leave Zamalek As Free Agents.. Zamalek sporting director Amir Mortada Mansour confirmed that Mohamed Abou-Gabal and Tarek Hamed will leave the club as free agents.
Abou-Gabal has been out of Zamalek squad in the last two games as he stated that he was injured during his time in the Egyptian national team camp.
However, Zamalek have not been able to confirm his injury, therefore he is now under investigation for his unjustified absence.
Tarek Hamed has also been in a similar situation, having been absent for weeks now as he traveled to Europe for undergoing medical treatment without permission.
Both players’ contracts end by the end of this season, and the club considered their absence to be a rebellious move, and as a result, Amir Mortada stated that their contract-renewal negotiations are now canceled.
“Tarek Hamed is undergoing investigation, he’s been absent for weeks without permission and he just brought us a handwritten note,” Zamalek sporting director said.
“I can’t understand the reason behind his actions, and he will not play for Zamalek even for free.
