Leicester City manager, Brendan Rodgers, has said that Kelechi Iheanacho is at the top of his game after the striker scored a brace in his side’s FA Cup quarter-final 3-1 win against Manchester United on Sunday.
Rodgers explained that Iheanacho always contributes to the Leicester squad, adding that the Nigerian international is a different structure in the attack line.
Leicester eliminated Man United from the FA Cup, thanks to a brace from Iheanacho and a strike from Youri Tielemans as Mason Greenwood’s goal was not enough for the Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side.
The Foxes will now face Southampton in the FA Cup semi-final.
“Kelechi has always contributed,” Rodgers told BBC.
“Maybe his confidence was lower, but he works so hard every day and always comes in and gives his all.
“You see his confidence now. He’s at the top of his game.
“It’s a different structure [up front]. Kelechi is probably best with someone up there with him. Those two are working very well.”
