Elneny Promised To End His Career At Arab Contractors, Club President Says.. Arab Contractors president Mohsen Salah stated that Arsenal midfielder Mohamed Elneny promised that he will end his career in the club ranks.
After struggling to make it at Al Ahly, Elneny joined the famous Arab Contractors youth academy, before getting promoted to the first team in 2010.
The 29-year-old represented the Mountain Wolves for nearly three years before his move to Swiss Super League’s FC Basel in January 2013 alongside life-long friend Mohamed Salah.
This week Mohamed Elneny paid a visit to his former club Arab Contractors and the latter responded by offering him a honorary lifetime membership
Despite leaving the 1983 Egyptian champions nearly ten years ago, Elneny still intends to return in order to end his career where he started it, according to club president Mohsen Salah.
“Players who represented Arab Contractors are always loyal, it’s something you learn here, and we are proud of Elneny and [Mohamed] Salah who started their career here,” Salah said.
“Elneny’s visit made us really happy, and it was a good chance for us to give him the honorary lifetime membership.
“What made us even happier is that Elneny promised us that he will come back to end his career here in Arab Contractors.”
