Festival Set Up In Honour Of Zola 7.. South Africa keeps pouring love to the legendary Zola 7, as a music festival has been set up to honour him.

The music show, titled Strictly Kwaito Legends Festival, will be held at The Bears Palace in Mpumalanga on 2 April 2022.

Zola 7 announced the festival on his social media accounts, and he said: “Ngiyabonga [thank you] Mpumalanga. On the 2nd of April make your way to The Bears Palace for the strictly Kwaito legends gig.”

The show will take fans down memory lane with a stellar line up of South African legends in the Kwaito music fraternity. Performing on the day are the likes of Mapaputsi, Professor, Spikiri, Doc Shebeleza, Slovas, Mdu Masilela, Mzambiya, Character and Big Nuz, among other acts.

The proceeds from the show will go towards Zola 7’s upkeep.

Since pictures surfaced two weeks ago showing Zola 7 in bad shape, the whole of South Africa has united to make sure the veteran musician and media personality is taken care of. After he acknowledged the kindness and shared his details, people have been sending him money to his bank.

In the past few weeks, Zola 7 has had the chance to receive visits and meet Shauwn “MaMkhize” Mkhize, Andile Mpisane, DJ Cleo and Israel Matseke Zulu.

Speaking about his visit to MaMkhize’s house, he said: ” MaMkhize just wanted to cook for me and for me to meet her son and we stayed there the whole day. By the way, she’s doing something amazing … you’re going to see soon.”
