Gomora Actor ‘Sdumo’ Siyabonga Zubane Commits Suicide.. Siyabonga Zubane, who plays the character of a car high jacker and criminal, Sdumo, on Mzansi Magic’s popular telenovela Gomora, passed away after he committed suicide.
Circumstances surrounding his reported death are still not clear. His family is yet to confirm his death.
Unconfirmed reports suggest that Siyabonga Zubane was suffering from depression and had financial struggles. In a recent interview, Siyabonga once opened up about how he was forced to drop out of varsity because he could not afford to pay the fees and related costs.
Siyabonga who studied Performing Arts and did dance as a major at Tshwane University of Technology said that he was let down by the National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS), which only funded him in full for his first year. Afterwards, he struggled financially as he would only receive a small portion of his needed money.
His sudden death has plunged Mzansi into mourning. A number of tweeps have already started posting pictures of Siyabonga with heartbroken emojis
