House of Gucci: Here’s How to Watch the Lady Gaga Film Online.. Lady Gaga and Adam Driver star in Ridley Scott’s true-crime drama about the Gucci empire.
House of Gucci is now streaming online. The Ridley Scott-directed film starring Lady Gaga, Adam Driver, Jared Leto, Jeremy Iron, Salma Hayek, Jack Huston and Al Pacino arrived on VOD on Tuesday (Feb. 1). The digital release comes less than three months after the true-crime drama debuted in movie theaters.
Inspired by real-life events, House of Gucci shares the story of the family behind the Italian fashion house. Gaga plays Patrizia Reggiani, an “outsider” from humble beginnings who marries into the fashion empire by way of Maurizio Gucci (Driver), former head of Gucci. Maurizio was killed in a murder-for-hire plot in 1995, with Reggiani later being convicted of hiring a hitman to kill him.
There are a few different ways that you can watch House of Gucci from the device of your choosing. The movie is available on Amazon Prime Video ($19.99), Vudu and Apple TV.
To stream from anywhere, download an app from any of the aforementioned streaming platforms and watch House of Gucci on your smart TV or smart phone. You can also view the movie from a laptop, notebook or gaming consoles such as PlayStation or Xbox (the Prime Video app is available on both consoles).
House of Gucci was adapted from the novel The House of Gucci: A Sensational Story of Murder, Madness, Glamour, and Greed. In addition to the online debut, the film will be released on Blu-ray/DVD and digital on Feb. 22.
The Blu-ray/DVD release is packed with exclusive bonus content including featurettes that take audiences behind-the-scenes and into Scott’s vision to bring House of Gucci to life. Other bonus features include the fashion and aesthetic of the film, as well as Gaga’s transformation into Reggiani.
House of Gucci marks Gaga’s second film role behind A Star Is Born, which was released in 2018. The New York native spoke about her passion for acting during an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! Jan. 24.
“I always wanted to be an actor. Much more than I wanted to be a singer,” she explained at the time. “I just always wanted to be an actress, but I was really terrible at auditioning.”
Gaga’s portrayal of Reggiani landed her a best actress nomination at the 2022 Screen Actors Guild Awards. The ceremony takes place on Sunday, Feb. 27, and will broadcast live on TNT and TBS at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT.
