The actor and singer posted a photo to social media highlighting how she looked at the peak of her battle and gave words of advice for people trying to kick the habit.

“I have made nice with the fears and I have accepted the parts of my life that are just sad. I own my personal power with soulful courage. I am wildly honest and comfortably open. I am free.”

The photo of her in the pink tracksuit marked her first day without alcohol and she felt inspired to let other people know her struggle.

She revealed last year that her ‘rock bottom’ moment happened on Halloween 2017 when she was so drunk she couldn’t dress her kids.

On November 1, she told a group of friends that she never wanted her kids to see her in that state again and she stopped drinking.
