Living The Dream With Somizi Mhlongo: Palesa Madisakwane Opens Up.. It was a confusing time in Palesa Madisakwane’s life when she found that her daughter’s father, Somizi Mhlongo, is gay.

Madisakwane shared this in her confessional following a nail appointment with her nail technician Nthabi in episode three of Living the Dream With Somizi.
“It was a confusing time of my life,” she said.
She added that it was particularly confusing because she did not understand what being gay was and that in her “girl mind,” she thought she had found a boyfriend.

According to Madisakwane, she was only enlightened about Somizi being gay after speaking to his sister and late mother, Mary Mhlongo.
She revealed Somizi’s mother said to her: “My child, you can see how Somizi is – he isn’t like other boys. Give us the child and go on with your life.”
At the time, the pair’s daughter, Bahumi, was only 10 months old.
She went on to tell Nthabi that at this point, Somizi was in and out of the country and that things were not “well”.
Madisakwane also opened up about how she felt when Somizi did interviews and said she knew he was gay when they were dating.
“That is false,” she said, adding that she felt hurt by this because she genuinely thought she had found a boyfriend and would even brag about him being part of the original cast of Sarafina!.
The intimate session between the two ladies was wrapped up when Madisakwane told Nthabi about how Somizi asked her to be the ‘Miss Party’ at his 21st birthday.
