Manchester United supporters plans a tribute to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer
The fans are planning to unveil a huge flag dedicated to Solskjaer in the Stretford End ahead of Arsenal’s visit in the Premier League on Thursday.
The fixture against the Gunners will be the first home game since the Norwegian’s departure.
It is understood they have approached the club about the gesture and it has been approved.
Solskjaer has since been replaced by Ralf Rangnick, who has signed a six-month contract with the Old Trafford side.
However, because of visa issues and COVID-19 rules, Michael Carrick will take charge of the Red Devils for the third time.
Solskjaer was fired the 4-1 defeat at Watford after nearly three years in charge.
The 48-year-old led United to a second place finish in the Premier League last season and reached the Europa League final.
He, however, remains a club legend after spending 11 years as a player between 1996 and 2007. During that time, he won six Premier League titles and scored the goal which clinched the Champions League in 1999 and with it an unprecedented Treble.
