Under the Carpet was Directed by Tope Alake, stars; Iyabo Ojo, Femi Jacobs, Lydia Lawrence-Nze, and Deyemi Okanlawon. Tana Adelana, Moyin Olutayo, Roxy Antak, and Tosin Abiola also feature in the movie.
The story behind Under The Carpet is just too good to be real; more fictitious than convincing.
Under the Carpet is all about Ayodeji Lawson (Femi Jacobs), whose workaholic nature leaves many around him concerned for his life outside work.
He was also living in guilt of an ugly past of 20 years ago.
Ayodeji who is first perceived as hardened boss; at home and work suddenly falls in love with Tiana (Iyabo Ojo), who is a Club dancer and has an aggressive lover.
Well, in the real world man of Ayodeji calibre (Multi billionaire) would not be found in such a cheap club alone, to the extent that it becomes a habit.
Away from that, Under The Carpet provides some solid acting. Especially from Iyabo Ojo; the dubious Tiana and Femi Jacobs, the lover boy.Deyemi Okanlawon didn’t disappoint. His versatility was well pronounced.
The actors who were featured delivered their parts professional but the script was ruffled up and messed up with the good job.
Having a second thought on some scenes gets you unnecessary angry. Especially the flashbacks.
One good thing about the movie is some of the strong messages it passes. It also displays the amiable bond between Iyabo Ojo and her stylist Toyin Lawani of Tiannah’s empire. Iyabo stared as Tiana.
The ending part of Under The Carpet had so much revelations and fails to give us the satisfaction expected.
