The sequel to the successful How To Ruin Christmas: The Wedding will start streaming on 10 December, just in time for the festive season.

After ending on a cliffhanger, viewers will get the closure they need between the Sello and Twala families. In the first season, troublesome older sister Tumi Sello, played by Busisiwe Lurayi, was at the centre of the chaos.

Watch the trailer below:

The legendary Nandi Nyembe, who plays Gogo Twala, has died and both families try to organise her funeral, as her son wants it to happen on Christmas Day.

Newlyweds Beauty Twala (Thando Thabethe) and Sbu Twala (Sandile Mahlangu) are not happy with this proposed date, as it is their first wedding anniversary.

Considering the couple went through hell and back in the first season, after Tumi caused havoc before her sister’s big day, they want to celebrate their milestone.

However, in the trailer, it seems Tumi is on a self-improvement journey and on a mission to honour a letter Gogo Twala gave her before she died.

Actors Rami Chuene, portraying Aunt Grace, Trevor Gumbi as Siya Twala, Desmond Dube as Uncle Shadrack and Keketso Semoko as Aunt Moipone will reprise their roles on the romcom.

Viewers hope the relationship between Tumi and her best friend Khanya, played by Yonda Thomas, will be resolved once and for all.

The How To Ruin Christmas series is the creation of the funny Ramaphakela siblings (Katleho, Tshepo and Rethabile) of Burnt Onion Productions.

Recently, Thabethe had some of the cast – actor Motlatsi Mafatshe Molefe and Swankie Mafoko as Lydia – on her 947 show.

Mafoko said this time around, the cast were more comfortable around each other and they can’t wait for people to see the new season.
