Watch Russian Tank Blown To Pieces By Ukrainian Army.. The Ukrainian ground force has verified a dramatic video which shows it destroying a Russian tank to pieces with missiles.

The video started circulating last week, and was verified yesterday by the Ukrainian army. In the video, Ukrainian troops are seen tracking a Russian armoured vehicle on the outskirts of the south-eastern coastal city of Mariupol.

The Ukrainian land force then launches a missile strike towards the tank, which hits and blows it up, before a large cloud of dark smoke chokes the air.

The footage was posted by the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Friday with the message: “Azov in Mariupol continues to destroy the enemy”, and also shared images of the charred remains of the blown Russian tank.

The Mirror states that according to Ukrainian reports, the Azov Regiment destroyed two other Russian tanks on April 7. Analysts suggested to the Daily Mail that the explosion could have been caused by ammunition in the tank which ignited after the initial missile struck on the armoured vehicle.

Ukraine’s 53th Prince Volodymyr Monomakh Separate mechanised brigade was identified as the unit responsible for blowing out the Russian tank into smithereens, and as a result, it has gained a fearsome reputation after the attack.



Russian forces have been in Ukraine for 46 days now. President Vladimir Putin accounced the invasion of Ukraine on 24 February in what the Kremlin is calling a “special military operation”.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine estimates that a total of 19,000 Russian troops have been killed in the war, from February 24 to April 8.
